Someone waiting can use your location to organise meeting. Set sharing before departure and separate it from navigation and arrival confirmation.
Feature availability
Instructions for My Safe Circle describe version 2.2, still in development and beta, and not released in app stores. Installed versions may lack the feature; interface and behaviour may change during testing.
Prepare while stationary
Choose recipients, duration and message before driving. Do not operate the phone while moving to check sharing. With a passenger, agree they will handle communication from their own device.
Explain expectations
A live point is no promised arrival time or automatic delay alert. Agree a waiting place and realistic time margin.
Changes of plan
Handle new recipients or more time only after stopping safely. A passenger can communicate changes. Do not let the countdown become a reason to use the phone while driving.
On arrival
Park before reading or stopping the session. Send arrival confirmation if that was expected. A nearby point does not prove you parked or finished the journey; check sharing closure too.
