Terms of Service

1Acceptance

By accessing or using My Safe Circle, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2Service

My Safe Circle lets you create a trusted circle, send check-ins and safety messages and optionally share location with approved contacts. Live sharing is optional and temporary, with confirmed duration and recipients; background updates may be attempted. It is a communication and coordination tool, not professional monitoring.

3Not an emergency service

My Safe Circle is not an emergency number, rescue service, alarm center, medical device or professional monitoring service. It cannot guarantee that messages, notifications, location data or requests for help will be delivered, read or acted on. In an emergency or immediate danger, call the competent emergency services first.

4Your account and contacts

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your credentials secure and for the activity on your account. Invite only people you know and are allowed to contact. Do not impersonate others, harass, stalk, threaten or misuse the app.

5Location, check-ins and notifications

Location, status, check-ins and notifications may be inaccurate, delayed or unavailable due to permissions, GPS, network, battery, third-party services or operating-system limits. Do not rely on the app as your only safety measure. Stop ends live updates without withdrawing account retention consent or automatically erasing retained snapshots. Offline stopping for everyone is confirmed only when the server receives it. Separate notifications and local copies may retain earlier events; no continuous route history is created. Withdrawal and erasure controls and limits are explained in the Privacy Policy.

6Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains data, purposes, recipients, retention and rights. Accepting these Terms is not general permission to process data and does not replace specific location or retention consent. Retention can be managed in the account controls; access, withdrawal and broader erasure requests can be addressed to the published privacy contact under applicable law.

7Subscriptions, trials and purchases

Premium features are purchased through the applicable app store or payment provider. The purchase screen displays subscription name and duration, trial or introductory offer, renewal price and included features. A free trial does not charge the subscription price until it ends; a paid introductory offer may charge the displayed promotional price. Afterwards, renewal follows the disclosed price and store conditions unless cancelled under those rules. Manage or cancel in your Apple, Google or store account settings. Billing, refunds, taxes and price changes follow applicable law and store/provider terms. Apple, Google, RevenueCat or similar infrastructure may verify purchases, restore access, redeem offer codes and synchronize Premium entitlements.

8Availability and changes

We aim for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or safety outcomes. Changes, limitations or termination must respect applicable legal and contractual duties, including mandatory consumer information and remedies. Changes do not permit arbitrary removal of purchased rights.

9Intellectual property

The app, name, design, software, texts and visual assets are protected. You receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell or exploit the app except where the law expressly allows it.

10Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, misuse safety features, violate law or compromise the service. You may stop using the app or delete your account through the available account tools.

11Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee a safety outcome or continuous accuracy or delivery. No clause excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including intentional misconduct, gross negligence where applicable, injury and mandatory consumer or data-subject rights. Technical limitations and third-party providers do not automatically exempt us from our own responsibilities. Liability and remedies are assessed under applicable law.

12Changes to these Terms

Material changes will be made available with the new version and communicated appropriately when required. A change is not new privacy consent or a waiver of mandatory rights. Where specific acceptance is required, the relevant requirements apply; continued use does not replace it when required by law.

13Governing law and disputes

If you are a consumer, mandatory protections of the country where you live remain applicable. Otherwise, these Terms are governed by Italian law, unless mandatory law requires another rule.

15Export controls and sanctions

You may not use, access or make the app available where doing so is prohibited by applicable export control, trade sanctions or embargo laws, or if you are a person, entity or organization subject to applicable sanctions. You may not use the app for military, intelligence, sanctioned government or other prohibited purposes, or to bypass restrictions applied by app stores, payment providers or service providers. We may restrict, suspend or terminate access where required to comply with law or provider obligations.
