Two different workflows
Snug presents a daily check-in initiated by the person in its app. My Safe Circle uses Reminders scheduled by a creator for a Circle contact; the recipient must approve before the routine begins. These are not equivalent functions with different names.
What happens after no response
Snug official sources describe notifying contacts after a missed check-in; Free contacts receive texts while Dispatch uses calls. In My Safe Circle, the creator and selected alert contacts may be notified after the response window expires. Silence alone proves no emergency.
With Dispatch, an operator first tries to call the user and then the contacts under the documented service.
Recipient requirements
Snug says emergency contacts do not install the app; Free contacts must receive texts, while Dispatch can call a landline. People involved in a My Safe Circle Reminder use accounts and approved app contacts.
