Who can see my live location in My Safe Circle?

Published · 2 min read

The live audience depends on your selection before starting. Check approved contacts, groups and differences from SOS and All OK recipients.

Feature availability

Instructions for My Safe Circle describe version 2.2, still in development and beta, and not released in app stores. Installed versions may lack the feature; interface and behaviour may change during testing.

A Circle is not public

My Safe Circle requires an account and an approved connection. This is not a public link for anyone with your phone number. A pending invitation is not an authorised recipient.

Check the final selection

Choose All, Contacts or a Group before starting. All refers to the approved Circle. Expand the names: live recipients are independent of All OK and SOS settings.

Try with two contacts

With two consenting people, select only one and agree to check the session. Both normally receiving SOS does not mean both were selected for this live. Keep sensitive details out of the message.

Online access and copies

Removing a contact revokes online access as described in the manual. It cannot remove independent screenshots or exports. Ending sharing does not withdraw retention consent; check the account choice too.

Guides for your next step

To set up a session, read duration and recipients. For update issues, use the screen-off checks. For data after the session, see Stop, consent withdrawal and deletion.

Frequently asked questions

Does All include anyone with my number?

No. It means the approved Circle, not a public address book. Check actual recipients before starting.

Is the feature already in app stores?

No. This guide describes version 2.2, still in development and beta; it does not promise availability in the published app.

Does a live session guarantee someone will act?

No. Sharing a point does not confirm a contact is watching the map or can respond. Agree separately who will respond.
